Player of the Match

So that's all she wrote for the weekend. 4 games and the last one - one of the finest. Mani Bharathi if he plays like he did tonight, will certainly catch a few people's attention in the IPL auctions. Not to forget Ganga Sridhar Raju's stroke-filled unbeaten 90 replete with that typical stunning left-hander's elegance. Back to a single game from tomorrow. Do join us for that. Until then, check out all the live action along with the other content on this platform and remember to stay safe whevever you are. Wish everyone well. This is Nikhil Jadhav signing off on behalf of our hard-working scorer Mukesh . Bye!

Hari Nishanth | Winning captain: Mani Bharathi was outstanding. I enjoyed it from the other end. I'm happy that we won our first game as captain, but one regret is that me and Mani couldn't finish it off. The wicket was good to bat on and we had a discussion with our coach Badri after the first innings. He told us 'if they can get runs, we can as well'. Certainly there was pressure at the end, losing all those wickets. 35 off 25 was pressure but our boys somehow did it.

Mani Bharathi | Man of the Match: I was confident from the start, that I should win this for my side. I want to thank the coach for sending me at 3. The plan was to come later but they sent me in. It will be nice if I get to bat at 3 for the rest of the tournament.

Mani Bharathi is the Man of the Match for his 32-ball 81 which involved 8 fours and 5 sixes.

Shahrukh Khan | Losing captain: I thought the wicket was a little slow when we batted. I didn't think they will get 200 so easily. It was a good fight from us, so no hard feelings. It's just a learning curve for us. We need to come back stronger in the next game.

certainly one of the best games in TNPL's history and it's a pity Chepauk wasn't full to enjoy the game. Do stay tuned for the post-match stuff...

23:14 Local Time, 17:44 GMT, 23:14 IST: What a chase and this innings rotated on 2 moments. One was 4.3 when Mani Bharathi came to the crease and hit his first ball for six. The second was on 5.1 when Hari Nishanth was dropped by Mukilesh at long-on - a fairly simple catch as well. Hari was a unusual batsman after that. At one stage he was 2 off 10 and struggling for any timing. But the innings of the game belonged to the butcherous Mani Bharathi. He slaughtered everything thrown at him and decimated the target in front of him. His stand with Hari deflated the Dindigul team who looked flat and stunned at the onslaught. SRK tried throwing all sorts of things at the pair, including bowling himself for an over - but nothing worked. Just when it seemed that Mani and Hari will take its side home, Dindigul lost 4 wickets in 5 balls but a cameo from Swaminathan saw the side home.

DGD: 202-5 after 18 overs

17.6 K Vignesh to Lokeshwar, 4 , Dindigul have done it. They have gained the highest-ever successful chase in TNPL history. 17.3 K Vignesh to Lokeshwar, 4 , full-toss with mid-off up and square is not the right ball to bowl. Lokeshwar shows the full face of the bat and drives wide of the fielder and will take the boundary. Just a hit away now

17.1 K Vignesh to Swaminathan, 4 , he is playing xi a beautiful cameo. Shortish outside off, Swaminathan stands tall and opens the face of the bat to delay the cut, to the left of backward point. The fast outfield does the rest
