BL vs NL, Sharjah

Balkh Legends won by 25 runs

Nangarhar Leopards - 118 (19.1 Ovs)
Balkh Legends - 143/7 (20 Ovs)

So that concludes the double-header day. Another one is in store tomorrow. Can the Kandahar Knights finally open the account? They will play Paktia Panthers in the first game, Kabul Zwanan will lock horns with Nangarhar Leopards later in the night. Looking forward to your company for both games. Until then, goodbye!

Mohammad Nabi - captain Balkh Legends: "We didn't get a good total on that pitch. The way the bowlers came back was brilliant. Mirwais bowled brilliantly and Bopara contributed very well as well. Variations are very important in this format of the game."

Ben Cutting - captain Nangarhar Leopards: They bowled well and it was reverse-swinging as well. But we got greedy with our shot-selection.

Mirwais Ashraf (Man of the Match): We didn't have a great score, the wicket was keeping a touch low, our bowlers did very well to restrict them. We executed our plans very well.

Nangarhar have absolutely thrown it away. They have lost their last 7 wickets for 25 runs. 144 was definitely not a stiff target, especially with a small boundary. Anton Devcich anchored the chase, although he didn't get going straightaway. Balkh kept the pressure on the batsmen and then Mirwais Ashraf took three wickets in an over to make life diffcult for their opponents. 28 runs were needed in the last two overs and eventually, Balkh managed to seal the game in the final over winning by 25 runs. Nangarhar will have to question their shot selection as they crash to their third successive defeat.
