Ban vs ZIM, Dhaka

Bangladesh won by 28 runs

ZIM - 243/9 (50 Ovs)
Ban - 271/8 (50 Ovs)

On the back of Imrul Kayes' magnificent knock of 144, Bangladesh have managed to take a 1-0 lead in the 3-match ODI series. He'll take a lot of confidence going into the next match and if he continues to peform in the same manner, Bangladesh need not miss the services of Tamim Iqbal. Zimbabwe need to come up with some strategy, something they haven't tried before and get back to winning ways. It's difficult, not impossible. That's all from our side for this game. Hope you guys enjoyed the coverage. For now, it's a goodbye from our side. Take care!

Imrul Kayes, Man of the Match: I tried my best when I went in to bat. The wicket was not easy to bat, I had to be patient. The partnership between me and Mithun was good. I thought I needed to be there till the end of the innings, rather than doing something different. When the wickets fall, automatically pressure comes on the set batsman.

Mashrafe Mortaza: At the end of the day, the win is important. We lost too many wickets earlier and that put a lot of pressure. But Imrul batted professionally and our bowling was nice. Fizz had a bit of niggle in his elbow, hence couldn't use him much in this match.

Hamilton Masakadza: I thought we needed to finish off well and that (Saifuddin's) catch going down, was a bit of a turning point as that partnership was worth 120-odd. Jarvis did well today, the way he came back after that second over, also did well with the bat, that was good to see. The way Sean batted was also really good to see. We won some blocks of the game but the way we lost the other blocks, it became difficult. I thought the wicket was very strange, it was unpredictable and spun a lot in the evening under lights.

22:19 Local Time, 16:19 GMT, 21:49 IST: Nothing seems to click for Zimbabwe as they lose another game of cricket. Has been the case since the ICC World Cup Qualifiers. This is their 11th successive loss against Bangladesh. Chasing 271 against the home team in these conditions was never going to be easy but after the kind of start their openers gave them, it did look like a spirited effort. But the Fizz came into the attack and cleaned up Cephas Zhuwao with a jaffa, denting a blow to that spirit. From thereon it was just a downfall as Bangladesh spinners choked Zimbabwe, claming six wickets among them, before they evetually sealed the game. Sean Williams did put up a fight but due to lack of support of others, he couldn't avoid the defeat from being inflicted on the visitors. Hang on for the presentations...

49.6 Saifuddin to Sean Williams, 1 run, Williams brings up his fifty on the last ball of the match, but it doesn't matter as Zimbabwe lose by 28 runs. It was a shortish delivery, slow in pace and Sean Williams was early in his pull, mistimes it past the bowler and gets a single to bring an end to the match and Zimbabwe's misery

49.5 Saifuddin to Chatara, 1 run, french-cuts the reverse-swinging yorker to fine leg

49.4 Saifuddin to Sean Williams, 1 run, whips this one towards deep mid-wicket for another run

49.3 Saifuddin to Sean Williams, 2 runs, overpitched delivery around middle and leg, it's been heaved down to deep mid-wicket by Sean Williams

49.2 Saifuddin to Chatara, 1 run, speedy and skiddy length delivery around middle and leg, played with soft hands in front of square leg

49.1 Saifuddin to Sean Williams, 1 run, a low full toss around middle and leg, swept down to deep mid-wicket by Sean Williams

6 sixes in the over, can he?

48.6 Mahmudullah to Chatara, no run, guides the flighted delivery back to the bowler

48.5 Mahmudullah to Chatara, no run, flatter and quicker around middle and leg, nudged into the leg side

Tendai Chatara, right handed bat, comes to the crease

48.4 Mahmudullah to Jarvis, out Caught by Rahim!! Jarvis has been adjudged caught behind and he's challenged the umpire's decision. Rahim was convinced that the batsman had nicked it and he's probably right. This was darted outside off, Jarvis tries to smack it out of the park with a wild heave but all he can manage is an outside edge. UltraEdge confirms the same. Sharp take by the keeper and the batsman has to continue his walk back to the pavilion. Jarvis c Rahim b Mahmudullah 37(33) [4s-3 6s-2]

Mahmudullah to Jarvis, THAT'S OUT!! Caught!!

Jarvis has been adjudged caught behind and he's challenged the umpire's decision. Rahim was convinced that the batsman had nicked it, but then it's Rahim. This was darted outside off, Jarvis tries to smack it out of the park with a wild heave. Hang on,

48.3 Mahmudullah to Jarvis, SIX, not giving up, as yet. Gets under the flighted ball and sends it sailing over the long-on fence for yet another maximum. Making the most out of this over against the offie

48.2 Mahmudullah to Jarvis, SIX, that's high, that handsome and that's out of here. Waits for the tossed up delivery, takes a forward stride and smokes it over long-on for a towering six, right off the meat that came
