Best “New Hope” Poster

Hi, My name is George Amalovic and I am a sophomore at Grand Valley State University. I am from Northville, Michigan, and my major is graphic design. I am currently in my second year of college and I have had an interest in design since high school. As a sophomore, I was able to take a class on Star Wars posters and this is when I found my new love for poster design. George Lucas's “A New Hope” has been one of my favorite movies since childhood, and I was beyond thrilled when I had the opportunity to create my own poster for the film. I wanted to create a modern version of the classic “A New Hope” poster, while still keeping some of the original elements that made it so iconic. I kept the iconic yellow text at the top of the poster, but updated the font to something more modern. I also added in some new iconography that I felt represented the film well. For example, the Millennium Falcon and Darth Vader are two of the most iconic elements of “A New Hope,” so I made sure to include them prominently in my design. Overall, I think my poster captures the spirit of “A New Hope” while also giving it a fresh, modern look.
